Leather Care
How to let it age
Carry it
Patina is contact. The oils in your hands are what darken the grain, and no conditioner reproduces it.
Keep it dry, not precious
Rain will spot it and the spots will even out. Blot, never heat — a radiator will crack a hide that a downpour would not.
Condition twice a year
A neutral cream, thinly, worked in with a cloth. More often than that and the leather goes slack.
Store it upright
Stuffed loosely, out of direct sun. Sun fades the dye long before wear does.
