Commissions

Indigo Arden commissions are sculptural, hand-carved pieces featuring bold botanical forms — often chosen as birth flowers, to stand for the people who matter most.
Each piece is developed within a refined design language and made by hand in limited runs. A commission is not a different product line; it is the same bench, the same hides and the same hand, pointed at something meant for one person.
A small number are taken each season. Six to eight weeks is typical, and longer when the carving is intricate.
Tell me who it's for
A commission usually begins with a person — a birth flower, a bloom that means something. That decides the form before anything else does.
The piece is drawn
Carved botanical work is developed within the house design language, so it belongs to the collection rather than sitting outside it.
It's carved by hand
Hand-carved and hand-finished in a limited run. This is the longest stage, and the one that cannot be hurried.
It ships
Photographed before it leaves, insured in transit, and made to be kept.
Tell me about the piece
Who it is for, the bloom that means something to them, and roughly when you need it in hand. Every commission starts as a conversation.
